Perfect hostel with an even better host!

Jojo is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and any activity you can possibly pursue in the Taroko national park or in the area within and around Hualien. She knows all the hidden gems so you could maybe spend an afternoon at a beautiful waterfall all by yourself!

What was the highlight of 兩兩青旅 liang liang hostel

Caring staff and simple, clean comfortable rooms.

Unfortunately, we were there during a major earthquake that struck at night. The manager Doris was outstanding and warmly cared for all the guests very well. I will never forget our night at Comfy hostel and thank Doris and the helpers for their great care. (The Taiwanese neighbours were very kind too.) Otherwise, the twin room was excellent. A simple, quiet and clean room with comfortable beds, small balcony and fan. The reception area was cosy and friendly. Check in was exceptionally helpful, Doris recommended dinner places. The hostel was a bit hard to find at first but it turned out to be handy for food and the train station.

Great lively and friendly atmosphere

This hostel is perfectly located if you want to visit the region (Taroko) as it is 5' away from the train and bus station. There are also many restaurants nearby (if you ate vegetarian Doris provides you with a map showing a selection of veg restaurants). But what makes it really remarkable is the host, Doris, who is very helpful and has many attentions for her guests. Once a week she prepares a dinner: a great occasion for the guests to get to know each other. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and will be able to recommend and assist you for tours or activities, even for obtaining permit in Taroko.

AWSOME

Such a lovely hostel to stay! The location was nice, just around 5 mins from the train station. The owner Doris gave me a lot of useful recommendation for my trip, she even lent me a bike for free. There are activities for socializing, did not expected that, which is really nice if you're traveling alone and want to meet some friends from other parts of the world. I really enjoyed my staying and I would definitely recommend this hostel.

strongly suggest you choose comfy hostel if you like make friend when you travrel

hardware: nice mattresses, fast network speed, bike rent from hostel is in good condition, clean and tidy, kitchen is small but have all you need, common area is comfort. software: nice hostel operator which treat you like friend not just a customer, the hostel operator can speak fluent english, can give you lot of suggestion about what/where you can do/go in Hualien

The size of bed sheet not fit the mattress, you need to put lot of effort to make a beautiful bed. The air-con in your room can turn on from 6pm till morning, and 2pm to midnight for the common area. Rule is rule but I need a more powerful fan when the air-con is off.
